Mechanik nr 08/09/2026 - Metrologia techniczna

ABSTRACT: The article presents the development of metrology from Metrology 4.0 to Metrology 5.0. Metrology 4.0 focuses on the digitalization and automation of measurement processes. It uses technologies such as laser scanning, computed tomography, robotics, and big data analysis. As a result, measurements are used not only for quality control but also for monitoring and improving production processes. However, the authors point out that some technologies, such as AR and VR, have developed more slowly than originally expected. Metrology 5.0 builds on these ideas but places greater emphasis on people, safety, and sustainability. Artificial intelligence, digital twins, and intelligent measurement systems are intended to support metrologists in data analysis and decision-making rather than replace them. The role of the metrologist is therefore also changing. In addition to measurement expertise, knowledge of data analysis, AI, programming, and cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important. The main development can be described as a transition from reliable measurements, through reliable data, to reliable decisions. Therefore, the authors consider Metrology 5.0 to be more of an evolution than a complete revolution.

KEYWORDS: Metrology 5.0, artificial intelligence, digital twins, measurement automation, data analysis.

Sztuczna inteligencja, cyfrowe bliźniaki i inteligentne systemy pomiarowe mają przede wszystkim wspierać metrologa w analizie danych i podejmowaniu decyzji, a nie całkowicie go zastępować.
